Anarchy is hateful to God. Submission to the Word of God is the reasonable and beautiful attitude of a wise man. And that involves submission one to another, a position not inconsistent with the arrangements for the wise conduct of ecclesias by "faithful men able to teach others;" men wise in counsel, instructed in divine things, with the honour of God before their minds. Such are not unmindful of the trust that is theirs; in their day, they "watch .... as they that must give account."
