Our total, overwhelming desire should be to serve God in love. That is what we SAY we want to do eternally. If we MEAN it, we'll start right now. This must grow and grow within us until all other interests and desires become very minor or completely disappear. This IS possible in mortal flesh. It is not only possible, but it is the path and direction and endeavor that God requires of all. It is the result of total, purposeful devotion of the thoughts and heart to God: a firm commitment of the will, based on an intelligent appraisal of the facts. The Word of God is the instrument of POWER: the substance and reality upon which the spiritual mind is built and nourished and made stronger and stronger. The Word must be studied in reverence and faith as the loving, personal message of a loving, personal Father.
