1 Blessed be the ever- lasting God,
The Father of our Lord;
Be His abounding mercy praised,
His majesty adored.
2 When from the dead He raised His Son,
And call'd him to His hand,
He gave to us a I lively hope,
A rock on which to stand.
3 Yea, though Thy sentence,
Lord, requires All flesh to see the dust,
Our Lord and Saviour rose again­
So all his servants must.
4 This is our hope, that day to see,
Reserved against that day,
When sin and weakness, pain and death
Shall ever fly away.
